School Certification for Excellence in Science Education

The International Science Teaching Foundation (ISTF), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving STEM education globally, endorses the educational project Science Bits, which follows the 5E instructional model from the Biological Sciences Curriculum Study (BSCS) and is based on the latest evidence in education and learning.

Currently, more than 1,300 educational institutions and over 300,000 students worldwide trust and use Science Bits in their classrooms as essential resources for STEM teaching.

In its mission to transform STEM education, the ISTF awards a distinction to schools that embrace evidence-informed education and utilize the Science Bits project at various educational levels. The School Certification for Excellence in Science Education is granted to institutions that demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching science, fostering a deep understanding of the subject and enhancing student learning.
